Adam Freed’s family home stood for nearly 50 years in Pacific Palisades. When it burned in the 2025 LA fires, the hardest part wasn't just the loss — it was trying to remember and document everything that was inside. He and co-founder Aravindh Dorai had been building technology for homeowners. But after the fires, the only question that mattered was: how do we help people right now? Within hours, Aravindh built the first version of Bevel's inventory tool. It took off immediately.
